After a leisurely breakfast, set off to the Sigiriya, en route visit Ridi Viharaya or the Silver Temple in Kurunagala, was built at the place where Silver ore was found, that was made used to build Ruwanweli Dageba at Anuradhapura by King Dutugemunu during his rein. Ridi Vihara is an important Raja Maha Vihara belonging to the Cultural Triangle. Historical Data on this Monastery complex is found in some Caves written in Brahmin Inscriptions. Afterwards visit Ibbankatuwa Megalithic Tombs. One of the more overlooked ruins of the town of Dambulla is the Ibbankatuwa Megalithic Tombs. These tombs are believed to be the place in which many of the prehistoric inhabitants would bury their dead. Check into the hotel. Evening at leisure in the hotel and stay overnight in Sigiriya
After breakfast, leave for Polonnaruwa. Do a sightseeing tour in ancient city Polonnaruwa (11th Century AD), visit the many sites of archaeological and historical interest in the Sacred City including the Grate Statue, Quadrangle, Royal Palace, Gal Viharaya, Kumara and Lotus Ponds, Thiwanka Image House and many more. And see the one of the country’s biggest water reservoir Parakrama Samudraya. In the evening leave for visit Ritigala, Ritigala is a world-famous ancient Buddhist monastery and mountain range in Sri Lanka. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Sigiriya rock fortress or Pidurangala rock. Sigiriya Rock fortress Sigiriya. Sigiriya (Lion's rock) is an ancient rock fortress and palace built during the reign of King Kassapa I (AD 477 – 495). Contemporary with the paintings of Ajantha and Ellora Caves in India, highlights being the Frescoes, Mirror Wall and the Lion's Paw, and it is one of the Seven World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka. Pidurangala rock, Pidurangala is a rock located a few kilometers north of the famous Sigiriya rock in Sri Lanka. Pidurangala Vihara is an ancient Buddhist temple situated on a massive rock called Pidurangala. In the evening relax at the hotel. Breakfast at hotel. Afterwards proceed to Kandy. On the way visit Dambulla Rock Cave Temple, Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla. The largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka, the rock from which the caves were carved towers 160 meters (520 ft) over the surrounding plains. A total of 153 Buddha statues, three statues of Sri Lankan kings and four statues of gods and goddesses also stand in the site. Visit Gedige at Nalanda one of the remarkable archaeological sites in Sri Lanka & enjoying the Spice garden at Matale and take part in a conducted tour to get some knowledge about the growth and use of spices in the day to day life.
