Arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport. Our AYUBOWAN TOURS & TRAVELS representative and transfer to hotel in Negombo will welcome clients. Check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay at the hotel in Negombo.
Leave for Kitulgala, the best place to go rafting in Sri Lanka is at Kitulgala. Conquer the Kelani River that runs through the green jungle. This area has 2 rainy seasons a year and that is a good sign because the more rain the fuller the river. In addition to excitement on the water, you can also experience plenty on land. Take a walk through the jungle and spot the most colorful birds while the butterflies flutter around you. You will spend the night in Kitulgala in the middle of the jungle.
Morning breakfast at the hotel. Today it is finally time to get on the water. So, put on a life jacket, helmet and hop into the boat. On the quieter parts you can easily go into the water to float yourself. A fun adventure on the water. In the afternoon you can go for a nice walk through the jungle. Colorful birds, tickling insects and hissing snakes live in this area so who knows what you will encounter.
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave for Dambulla. On the way to Dambulla is the herb garden in the town of Matale. And where does a cinnamon stick actually come from? You'll find out here. Join the hour-long tour and learn more about everything that grows and blooms here, such as; coffee, cocoa, cinnamon, nutmeg and aloe vera. The entrance to the herb garden is free. After this spicy stop, continue the journey to Dambulla in the cultural triangle. Visit the Dambulla rock cave temple built by king Walagambahu, in the 1st Century B.C. it is a World Heritage Site, and the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. Take a good look around you and spot monkeys playing in the trees on the way up. Reached the top? Then you will be rewarded with a beautiful view. Take the time to visit some caves. It is quite mysterious to suddenly see a huge golden Buddha shining through the few rays of the sun that shine inside.
Breakfast at the hotel. Make a bicycle excursion to Sigiriya. Sigiriya cycling tour is exploring about the beauty of the Lion Rock countryside and blends with local authentic experiences. It is experience about way of people living, customs, foods and cultivation. You will cycle through the greenish paddy fields and in between cycle tour you will visit to paddy field and you will experience the local farmers’ cultivation methods and believes. Sigiriya cycle tour is soft and based on countryside flat terrains. It is cycling over the water tanks, experience the ancient irrigation and cultivation system. In between the cycle tour you will visit to local farmer’s house, she gives basic cooking demonstration and you can also try cook with farmer’s wife. She will offer spicy Sri Lankan lunch and then after the lunch you can experience the canoeing in the lake. Afterwards visit Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital and a World Heritage Site. This second capital city of Sri Lanka was built in the 11th and 12th centuries. See the ruins of the Royal Palace, Lotus Bath and Polonnaruwa Statue and visit the Gal Viharaya which is splendid statues of the Buddha carved out of rock.
Breakfast at the hotel. Explore the Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is a World Heritage site of 5th century AD, built by the King Kashyapa. Its home to water gardens, frescoes, ancient graffiti and commands an amazing view of Sri Lanka’s greenery. In the afternoon, make a jeep safari at Minneriya. The best time to visit Minneriya NP is from June to October and the best time to visit Kaudulla is from July to December. Both parks are known for the elephants, but there are also many more animals such as monkeys, deer, wild boars and leopards. You will see these beautiful animals during the jeep tour.
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave for Anuradhapura. En route visit Mihintale, the town where Buddhism first overwhelmed the people of Sri Lanka. Later visit Anuradhapura ancient city, Anuradhapura, the first capital of the island dating from the 4th century BC. See the sacred Boo Tree, world famous Samadhi Buddha, the remains of the Brazen Palace and rock carvings
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave for Kalpitiya, on the way you pass the Wilpattu national park. If you want to visit this park, you don't have to leave early, you can make an afternoon safari. During this safari you can see elephants, crocodiles, deer, peacocks and with good luck leopards. Afterwards leave for Kalpitiya. The Kalpitiya Peninsula is home to the largest natural reef in Sri Lanka. Kalpitiya is most famed as being the best place in Sri Lanka for kitesurfing, attracting enthusiasts from all levels to test the winds on an exciting lagoon expedition. Kalpitiya is also a popular place for snorkeling, diving, and dolphin-watching excursions. The best time to visit Kalpitiya Beach is during the dry months, preferably between October to May.
A whole day is relaxed Paradise. Are you here in the months of December to April, then get up early and join a boat trip out to sea. You will look for whales and wild dolphins. Slowly fins and tails appear above water. The rest of the day you can enjoy the sun, sea and beach
