After breakfast leave for Kandy via Pinnawela. On the way, visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage and breeding ground for wild elephants. Visit the Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, which is the largest of its kind in Sri Lanka. It is renowned for its vastly diverse collection of almost 300 species of orchids, and over 500 varieties of spices and medicinal plants housed in the National Herbarium which is attached to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Evening city tour of Kandy including Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha – by far the most important place of worship for Buddhists world over, Upper Lake drive a place where one could have a bird’s eye view of the city below.
